Introduction to Aerobatic Judging School

Chapter 52 is offering an introduction to aerobatic judging school. This seminar is aimed at training new judges as well as enabling certified judges to meet the currency requirements defined in IAC Rule 2.6.3.

Dates: Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 14
Schedule:
- Saturday:
- 8 am to 9 am Registration
- 9 am to 5 pm Class
- 6 pm Dinner at a local restaurant where we will treat our instructor.
- Sunday:
- 8am to 5 pm Class
Where: Orange County Airport (MGJ). 400 Dunn Rd., Montgomery, NY 12549. We'll have a comfortable classroom and the benefit of the airport restaurant.

Fees: The Judges School fee will depend on the number of participants and some expenses that are yet to be defined. Bring your checkbook and be prepared to pay somewhere between $65 and $85. Included in the fee are morning coffee with donuts/bagels, a light lunch and afternoon snacks on both days as well as the course materials.
Accommodations: I recommend that you book online to get the best deal, or any one of the many travel sites such as Kayak or Priceline putting West Milford, NJ in the search criteria. Note that some hotels offer "free cancellation" while others are non-refundable. Also look out for per person room charges since many of you will be sharing a room. What YOU need to bring:
- Paper and writing utensils.
- Your checkbook or plenty of cash.
- 2012 IAC Official Contest Rule Book. The @012 Rule Book probably won't be available February but keep checking. Print it out or bring it on your notebook or tablet. If you are interested in a printed and bound copy of the Rule Book, let me know. I'll have some printed. Based on past experience, the cost is about $26 per copy at Staples. I'll check other sources.
